Support
Something went wrong. Here is what to do.
SystemChart builds the diagnostic report itself. You do not have to find a log folder or work out which file matters. Press the button, read what it is about to send, and decide. Nothing is uploaded until you approve it.
-
In the app
Settings, then Report a problem
- Open Settings from the top bar and choose Report a problem.
- Windows shows you exactly what the report contains before anything is sent.
- Approve it and the report goes to a private store. You get a code that looks like SC-AB12CD34EF.
-
Will not open
Use the Support Reporter instead
- If the window itself will not start, the charts cannot ask you anything. A second small program is installed alongside SystemChart for exactly this.
- Find SystemChart Support Reporter in the Start menu. On Steam it is the secondary launch option.
- It builds and sends the same report without loading the chart interface, so a broken window is still reportable.
-
After a crash
It offers before you have to ask
- SystemChart marks each run as it starts and clears the mark on an orderly shutdown.
- If the mark is still there at the next launch, something ended badly. The application says so and offers to send the previous run's logs.
- That prompt appears before the chart interface loads, so it works even when the window is the thing that failed.
-
Contents
A short list, and a shorter one
- It includes component logs from the last seven days, error text, the previous run's start and exit context, application and Windows versions, hardware models and what they report, plus store size and capture state.
- It never includes your captured readings or the database, the applications you have run, your game sessions and their settings, your licence, your user name or your machine name.
- The list is enforced in code. A test fails the build if anything else finds its way into the archive.
- Reports are deleted after fourteen days.
-
Then tell me
Send the code and say what you saw
- Email support@systemchartapp.com with your report code and a sentence about what happened.
- The code is what ties your message to the diagnostics. Without it there is a file and no story.
- Do not attach logs, databases or licence files to an email. The report already carries what is needed.
- Once the Steam page is live, the Steam Community discussions work too.
No account. No tracking. The upload endpoint is the only address SystemChart ever talks to, and only when you press the button.
